    Great post, Michelle! Speaking of cultivating relationships with freelancers and making the pitch process easier: As a freelance journalist, I love the freedom to pursue whatever story ideas intrigue me, but it warms my heart when, once in a great while, an editor comes to me with a story idea she’d like me to write.
